First ACHEP conference on high-energy physics on the African continent
The first African Conference on High-Energy Physics will be held between 23 and 27 October in Morocco, organised by the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra regional university consortium.
ACHEP is a series of biennial international conferences focusing on high-energy physics, held at various institutes in Africa. The first edition of this series will take place in Morocco and will be organised by the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra regional university consortium from 23 to 27 October 2023.
This conference involves a particular mobilisation of the French community. Many researchers in the field of high-energy physics from IN2P3 will be present to take an active part in this series of conferences.
One of the highlights will be a round table devoted to the prospects for future scientific collaboration with the African continent, with the aim of increasing the continent's participation in high-energy physics research. Several heads of institutes have been invited to take part in this round table, underlining the importance of this event in promoting particle physics research in Africa.
